About Us

Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church is a church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the Rocky Mountain Synod of the ELCA. The congregation has its roots in the Good News of Jesus Christ and the desire for a Lutheran congregation to serve the communities in the valley south of Greeley and north of Denver. The movement of the Holy Spirit has been evident as those pioneering followers of Jesus gathered in a school in the spring of 1977 and the first worship service in the facility constructed by faith-filled disciples was held July 5, 1981.

To "Live in Grace" is the welcome work of God's Spirit, gathering a variety of people from all walks of life in thanks-filled worship of the Living God every Sunday morning at 10:15 during the school year and at 9:00 a.m in the summer. Join us as we return thanks to God for all of God's gifts in Jesus our Lord.
Together, we "Grow in Faith" as we are encouraged and challenged by God's Word during worship and in the Christian education opportunities for all ages at 9:00 a.m. There is a Tuesday Morning Bible Study that meets regularly at 9:00 a.m. at the church facility. During the summer months, a Vacation Bible School for the children is also offered.
Propelled by the Spirit, we "Serve in Love" as we join hands with the other churches of LaSalle to provide assistance and support to folks in need, as we serve a meal and lead a worship service at Greeley Senior Housing, as we support Lutheran Episcopal Campus Ministry at UNC, as we join hands to build homes and hope through the Greeley Area Habitat for Humanity and as we carry out our baptismal vocations as ministers of God's grace wherever we live, work and play.
